The weather finally broke about 2 weeks ago and I got a chance to take the moto out for a short ride. It had been over 18 months since I last rode! It was cold but nice to finally be out riding again.
I also finally got around to installing a new Stator. I ordered a new one from Rick’s Motorsport Electrics since my original one was dieing. The stock stator in the F800GS only seems to last about 20k miles according to other F800 riders I’ve talked to.. My battery wasn’t being fully recharged and since it was putting out a lower charge rate, my heated grips were also not getting very hot (which is definitely a necessity here in Alaska).
