Well, I am back in the US after working abroad for the past year. To me, that means I am even closer to making this dream become a reality.. to the point that I am actually starting to get nervous with doing it! The thought of riding through South America has been bouncing around my head for over 4 years now and I am nearing the threshold where I cross the line between just a dream and legitimately working on setting this into motion. Granted I still don’t plan on leaving for another 11 months (October 2013).. However, I am starting to blog about, purchase gear/parts for the bike and get my finances together. I’ve been doing A LOT of research on the trip for the past few years..everything from blogs, to books to wikipedia entries. It’s almost become an obsession.

Over the next few days to weeks to months I will be updating and filling in my blog so that it’s actually worth reading. Stay tuned. As of now, I have ‘The Route’ page posted and will be adding ‘The Budget’, ‘The Bike & Gear’ and a few others shortly.
